Award-winning author Daniela Gioseffi has written 16 books of poetry and prose.  Her most recent publication is Pioneering Italian American Culture: Essays, Interviews and Reviews. She has read poetry for National Public Radio, the BBC, Poets House, and The Poet & the Poem Radio Show of the Library of Congress.  She is founding director of the Bordighera Poetry Prize and edits www.PoetsUSA.com and http://iawa.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8c23cecfc03e6cf32e136a140&id=533a42216e&e=059b8ffed4.
Josephine Gattuso Hendin is a novelist and critic who won the American Book Award in fiction for novel The Right Thing to Do (1989.) She taught at Yale University and City College of New York and is currently a professor of English and Italian American studies at New York University. Her critical works include The World of Flannery O’Connor and HeartBreakers: Women and Violence in Contemporary Culture and Literature. Her literary essays have appeared in Harper’s Magazine, Dissent, The New Republic, American Literary History and VIA.

Note: IAWA-East launched at Sidewalk Café in April and takes place on the even months: August 10th, October 12th, December 14th. IAWA-West continues at Cornelia Street Café during the odd months.
