Stephanie Azzarone is the author of Heaven on the Hudson: Mansions, Monuments, and Marvels of Riverside Park, a colorful tale of a singular neighborhood and the personalities who make it special. A native New Yorker who has lived on Riverside Drive most of her adult life, she has contributed to The New York Times and New York magazine, and ran an award-winning Manhattan public relations agency. She recently obtained her New York City Sightseeing License and is looking forward to further sharing her knowledge of the Riverside area through walking tours.

Maria Teresa Cometto is an Italian American journalist and author based in New York City. Born in Novara, Italy, she moved to New York in 2000. She has been working for almost 30 years for Italy’s leading newspaper, “Corriere della Sera” Her most recent book, Emma and the Angel of Central Park, was recently translated from Italian to English by Bordighera Press. She was awarded the title “Cavaliere (Knight) dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana” in 2017 for her activism in promoting Italian culture and language in America.
