The Italian American Writers Association will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in 2016. Since 1991, IAWA has given voice to writers through its literary series every second Saturday of the months. Joe Giordano’s novel, Birds of PassageAn Italian Immigrant Coming of Age Story, was published by Harvard Square Editions October 2015.  Giordano’s stories have appeared in more than seventy magazines including Bartleby SnopesThe Monarch Review, decomP, and The Summerset Review. His novel, Birds of PassageAn Italian Immigrant Coming of Age Story, was published by Harvard Square Editions October 2015. Giordano was born in Brooklyn. He and his wife, Jane, have lived in Greece, Brazil, Belgium and Netherlands. They now live in Texas with their little shih tzu, Sophia. http://joe-giordano.com/

LuLu LoLo Pascale is a New York based playwright/actor, international performance artist, historian, and activist. LuLu has written and performed eight one-person plays Off-Broadway. Her passion for historical research and social justice, and the struggle of women in New York City’s past, exemplified by subjects such as the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire and the lesbian lover of murder victim Kitty Genovese have inspired her work. She is is currently researching the correspondence of the East Harlem Congressman Vito Marcantonio while her socially engaged performance project, “Where are the Women?” highlights the lack of monuments honoring women in New York City. www.lululolo.com
