IAWA Celebrates its 26th Anniversary
with the
3rd Edition of
New Voices in Italian America

WHO: Native to Bayonne and a graduate from NJCU, Keith Chiappone started the art and literature magazine Instigatorzine, which featured new writers and artists. Keith currently teaches 8th grade language arts in Piscataway. He also plays guitar, sings, and plays harmonica as a singer-songwriter. Keith lives with his wife, Olivia and daughter, Sylvia, in Middlesex, NJ.
Meghan Flaherty is a creative writing student at New Jersey City University. She won the 2016 Walter Glospie Prize from the Academy of American Poets and in 2017 and received an honorable mention. In 2017 she received Honorable Mention for the Kathy Potter Writing Award for her memoir. She co-edits Paths, the literary journal of New Jersey City University. With the help of her mentor, Edvige Giunta, she is working on a thesis, a memoir about the racialization of her ancestors and mothering across racial lines.
Laura Marie Marciano is a poet, performer, and educator. She is the founder of the visual poetics collective gemstone readings and the author of Mall Brat (CCM 2016). She has an MFA from Brooklyn College and is a PhD candidate at URI under the direction of Peter Covino. She lives on the Internet.
